Who should consider undergoing the arm lift surgery?
Arm lift is recommended for patients who suffer from saggy, excessive, and unsightly skin from massive weight loss or aging around arm area.

How long is the length of stay for the procedure?
Arm lift procedure requires 1-2 hospital night stay.

How is the surgery performed?
The attending surgeon makes an incision along two areas: armpit and inner arm from the elbow to the armpit. Through the incision the excess fat is suctioned and excess skin is trimmed away.Following the incision will be sutured.
Arm lift procedure takes about 2 hours and you will be required to stay in the hospital in for about 2 nights.

What kind of anesthesia will be used?
Arm lift surgery is usually performed under general anesthesia.

What is pre and post-operative instructions?
Stop smoking, and drinking alcohol for 2 weeks prior to surgery to reduce risks and complications during the surgery. After the arm lift surgery, the patient will wear a compression garment for several weeks.

How will the incision and scar look like?
The incision is generally placed in the inner arm area so it will not be obviously remarkable. After few months the scar will fade out and lighten in color.

What are the common complications?
Arm lift surgery is a moderate surgical procedure that requires strict recovery time. The following days after the surgery, The patient feels pain and discomfort.
The patient usually returns to daily regular activities at about 3 � 5 weeks. A supportive elastic garment will be required for several weeks after the surgery.
Common complications that may be occur after arm lift surgery are infection, haematoma, swelling, bruising, nerve injury .
