What is the post-operative care?
Following the surgery, the patient will have to use continuous cold compressors for at least 2 days with the head elevated, and avoid lying with the cheeks in contact with bed or pillow for about one month to prevent hematoma formation. Some numbness may persist for 3-6 months. The patient should avoid any heavy activities for at least 4-6 weeks after surgery.
